Yesterday, we celebrated a significant milestone as we officially handed over the National Research School in ICT to the University of Prishtina. In the presence of distinguished guests, including Prof. Sefer Avdiaj (Vice Rector for Research, Projects, Innovation, and Information at the University of Prishtina) and Prof. Ann-Charlotte Larsson (Vice Rector for Internationalization and Innovation at Linnaeus University), along with Prof. Isak Shaban (Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UP) and dedicated project coordinators and members, we celebrated this achievement.
Prof. Anita Mirijamdotter, the project leader, shared insights into the project’s goals and timeline for the PhDICTKES project. She highlighted the results achieved, emphasizing the equipment provided for research labs and the invaluable webinars held within the National Research School in ICT.
Vice Rector Larsson expressed her delight in being part of this significant moment and emphasized that the end of this project marks the beginning of an exciting journey.
In the other hand, Professor Kadri Sylejmani, a project member from UP, introduced the sustainability plan for the National Research School in ICT, outlining the path to transform this project into a lasting legacy.
In closing, the project coordinator from UP, Professor Lule Ahmedi, expressed gratitude for the enduring collaboration among project members and extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the successful implementation of the PhDICTKES project.
The Kosovo National Research School in ICT is the culmination of a 3-year project funded by Erasmus+. Our aim is to serve as an umbrella for PhD ICT programs in the Republic of Kosovo, organizing training sessions, workshops, webinars, and collaborative activities to advance ICT in our region.
